What A Day!
What a day this has been. Sigh. To begin with, I did not have enough sleep. Slept at 1am to study Math, and 5 hours of sleep really is not sufficient for me. Anyway, me being a slacker, only started studying for Math test last night. Obviously, I didn't finish studying, so I spent the whole 2 periods of Econs lecture studying for Math. Which isn't good..cos I'm now totally lost in national income and stuff. Sigh..gotta read up on my own. Anyway, was quite happy that Chem test is postponed..means at least I can enjoy myself tonight. Oh well. Sucky Math test. I can't believe the fact that I forgot my calculator was there. A 7-mark question, correct formula used, alas, I got stuck at tan inverse 2/root3. And I thought that my whole method was wrong, well..cos basically I couldn't recall a value for that..obviously, it didn't occur to me that I was supposed to use a calculator to find the value..which goes to show just how stupid I am. Oh well..in the end I scrapped the method and squared the equation, which is so totally wrong. Sigh. Oh well..it's over anyway.

Right after the test, we had CT period and got to watch 4 short films by Royston Tan. The guy actually came down just now. I thought it was a pretty cool experience, I mean it was really one of those rare times when I actually do not find a talk by invited guest boring. And the films..well, I guess they are perhaps too profound or deep for me, but they were really touching, especially "Sons" and "Mother". Really makes me think of my own relationship with my parents.

Had training just now, well to try out a coach. Haven't had training for like ages and it really showed..was so tired afterwards. The coach was quite pissed off with us I guess, for being slightly late. And he was definitely more demanding than the coach we had this year. Still, doing volleys and smashes didn't really appeal to me, would have preferred to do groundstrokes. When we did, he threw the balls at us and we had to run and hit them..and the balls were thrown at such awkward positions. And the physical training was worse. I mean..it was really exhausting. We had to run along the lines, forward and backward, and make us run a triangle. After that, we had to do 20 jumps non-stop. My legs felt like jelly afterwards. But that was not it. We still had to do 20 push-ups and 20 crunches. Ok..20 may not be a lot, but for a person who has not been training for a long time, well maybe that was a little too much.

Anyway, after dinner, went online, intending to do chem stuff. But, as it was, the IVLE site took such a long time to appear; after five minutes it still hadn't appeared yet, I finally gave up on it. Went to check on US Open news. Couldn't wait to see if Roddick won or lost. He won! Straights sets. Considering that his opponent was Henman, I thought he did well to beat him in three sets. Was obviously very happy.

Just went to see Mars. Had only been trying to see it this week. Tried to on Monday, but didn't get to see it. I'd thought that Mars was next to the moon or something, so that Monday night, I tried to look for the moon, but couldn't find it. I mean..I really couldn't see the moon at all. Maybe it was supposed to be that time of the month where the moon doesn't appear at all. Anyway, finally got to see it tonight. It's such a tiny little red flash in the sky. Haha..my brother and I decided to take pictures of it. Don't know if it'll come out. Hopefully it will, then we'll have some memories of Mars.

Oh well. Shouldn't be sleeping so late tonight. Can't wait for the long weekend! I definitely need a break! But I still have to really sit down and mug over the weekend. Sigh. So many things to do, yet so little time. I don't really want to mug, but I've got no choice, with tests and deadlines pushed to next week.

When I think back on these times
And the dreams we left behind
I'll be glad 'cause I was blessed to get to have you in my life
When I look back on these days
I'll look and see your face
You were right there for me

In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there will always be a place for you
For all my life I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am, there you'll be

Well you showed me how to feel
Feel the sky was in my reach
And I always will remember all the strength you gave to me
Your love made me make it through
Oh, I owe so much to you
You were right there for me

In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there will always be a place for you
For all my life I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am, there you'll be

'Cause I always saw in you my light, my strength
And I want to thank you now
For all the ways you were right there for me
You were right there for me
For always

In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there will always be a place for you
For all my life I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am, there you'll be

That was Faith Hill's There You'll Be. Haven't heard it in a long long time. I know I have the song somewhere, but haven't really listened to it. I think it's a really beautiful and moving song, but that's what I say for every single nice, slow song I hear. Oh well..
