Homecoming Carnival + Bible Quiz
This is gonna be a long long entry. Today was really a fun-filled day for me, first with the carnival and then with the bible quiz.

Let me start first with Hwa Chong's Homecoming Carnival. I truly didn't expect it to be as fun as it turned out to be. The weather wasn't very promising initially as it was raining quite heavily. I went to the tennis stall cos I was supposed to do the first shift there, from like 9 to 10. But I left soon after cos the j2s had to go to the audi. Our class turnout was quite pathetic but while we were waiting for the guest-of-honour to come, we were having fun playing with the balloons. Haha. Then after that when we were doing the countdown, we all released our balloons and popped the confetti stuff. I practically had confetti all over me and some got stuck in my hair. Anyway, after that the concert started. It was mainly dances and a wushu showcase. But the latin dance was simply amazing. Then after that went back to the canteen again and finally used my coupons to buy nachos. Met jessie and huiling shortly after then we went to the haunted house, which was set up partly by the junior class. Anyway we met wendy there and took some pix. Had to wait quite long queueing. Quite a few of my classmates were behind us in the queue. While waiting, jessie and I were listening to Jet's CD. Even though I've heard some of the songs, I think it's quite a nice CD. Anyway we finally went into the haunted house after waiting for like 40 minutes. The haunted house was not really scary, but we had a very hilarious time there. I mean we already expected that there would be ghosts or some creatures at the corners, but I was still shocked when I saw them and started screaming like mad. It was mostly me screaming, and huiling. Jessie didn't really scream much cos she was behind holding on to my back. Anyway I hit the first ghost who I thought was lide (it really turned out to be lide.. sorry for hitting you..). And we all screamed at the final ghost.. this really tall one with a long mouth. Haha..we were still laughing when we went down the stairs after coming out and my stomach hurt real badly. But the only gripe was that the haunted house was at LT5 and i nearly tripped because there were so many stairs.

Anyway, jessie had to go off soon after and huiling went to find charmaine. So I went back to the tennis stall again and then after that met nasal, ai lian and wen hooi. I was trying to spend my coupons buying food cos I was really hungry. Bought quite a lot of stuff to eat. But I still didn't manage to finish all my coupons. Sold one to jessie and huiling and i gave another to sin hui.

After that, zaneta and I rushed to church from school for the bible quiz. There were 8 of us from our class for the quiz - me, zaneta, stella, zhimei, dawn, raymond, jian jia and jeremy. We didn't really study properly for the quiz, so before that, we were like choosing 1 church each from the 7 churches to study on. Anyway, we had a short worship session and briefing. We were supposed to answer 5 fundamental questions before we got the 6 items for the Tabernacle. Then we were supposed to arrange the items correctly in the Tabernacle before we could get a map of the 7 stations, corresponding to the 7 churches, at different parts of the church. So we had to go to each station, in any order, and answered the questions there before we could get a box. So in the end, we had to get 7 boxes altogether before we could complete the quiz and put the boxes in this cross inside the wesley hall. But along the way, we could encounter secret policemen who could persecute us (cos at that time there were a lot of persecutions at the churches) if they saw the Bible or the boxes. Even if we put the boxes in our bags, they would still do a spot-check. Once persecuted, we had to go to the persecution area (which was at the church of Jerusalem cos that's where the persecution was worst) and performed a forfeit before we could get ourselves out and get back the boxes. So we really had to be careful and basically, just have to go back to wesley hall to put the boxes once we've gotten them. We spent quite a lot of time strategizing initially. In the end we decided to bring zaneta's and stella's bags along so that we could use one as a decoy. And we brought the smallest bible there was (cos we could only bring 1 bible). After that we went to the canteen to start and that's when the fun really began.

We had to wait to answer the 5 questions cos we reached there quite late. But we answered the questions quite quickly and arranged the items of the Tabernacle correctly on our first try. I was quite impressed with the items especially since they were hand-made. So after that, we started running to Phillipi cos that's the church nearest to the canteen. There we had to fill in the blanks and literally fish out the answers from this 'pond' using the fishing rod. It was really difficult to fish out the answers cos we had to use the magnet on the rod to pick up the clip attached to the 'fishes'. We would often pick up the fish using the rod but then the fish would fall back into the 'pond' again before we had a chance to grab it. But in the end we succeeded though I think we had 1 wrong answer.

After that we went to Ephesus. We had to figure out the answer to the math sums that were thrown to us and then answer the question at the corresponding number. If we got the answer wrong, 1 person from the team would have starch thrown at him. Zaneta volunteered for the team and well since we didn't really study properly, she was soon smeared with starch.

Then we went to Rome. Here, the team would be divided into half. One half would stand at this place which was 1 storey higher. Basically the other half would have to figure out the answers to the questions and once they have the answers, they would somehow get the jigsaw puzzles given to the other 4, who would then complete the puzzle (the puzzle is actually the key verse for the church). Anyway, me, zhimei, raymond and jeremy went upstairs. Jian jia then tried to get the puzzles to us by putting them in one of his shoes and throwing the shoe up. It really took a lot of throws to get the shoe up to us. It was really funny haha. Then after that we had to go down to rejoin the team, and zhimei accidentally pressed the wrong floor in the lift, so we had to go back to the lift again to go to the correct floor. We must have been really frantic.

So after that some of them went to put the boxes we got from rome and ephesus. We put them in zaneta's bag but then while they were running to wesley hall, we saw the secret policemen. Think they managed to escape. But the 3 of us (me, stella, zhimei) who didn't have to put the boxes back were caught by the policeman, who was none other than lina our class teacher. So we had to go the jerusalem (which was actually at the tennis courts) to do the forfeit. We had to wait for the rest of the team there to rescue us. The forfeit we had to do: 30 jumping jacks around the tennis court while saying "I love Jesus" at the same time. While we were doing the forfeit, we had like water bombs thrown at us. After completing the forfeit, we decided to answer the questions at jerusalem since we hadn't gone to that church. The questions were quite tough, but the real deal was that if we got the questions right, we'd get water bombs thrown at us. If we got them wrong, one person at the station would paint a cross on our faces using colgate, the toothpaste. We had 2 wrong answers so we had colgate on our faces. The colgate felt quite.. refreshing on our faces but some got to my hair also.

Then we went to Corinth. The station was at least clean, finally. Basically, we had to link hands and somehow transfer the answer to the questions from person to person. We managed to do that quite quickly. Then after that we wanted to put the boxes back at wesley hall (we had 2 with us). So jeremy took zaneta's bag with the boxes inside and what do we know? We saw the secret policemen again. Jeremy managed to duck them cos he was still upstairs while the rest of us went downstairs already. He threw the first box down to zaneta who managed to get into wesley hall. Then he threw second one to me. But while I was running there 2 policemen came out. Like out of nowhere. So I wanted to throw the box to stella who was in front of me and who was nearer to wesley hall. But I threw the box while I was running and obviously, I had forgotten what I've learnt in physics, so I had to catch the box myself again cos I threw it while I was running. So silly. Stella was laughing like mad after that. But anyway I managed to get the box somehow to zhimei who was also standing somewhere in front of wesley hall, but by then the policemen caught us, despite stella's best efforts to block them. So we ended up having to another forfeit at jerusalem. This time we had to run around the tennis court with the used water bombs and sort of 'soaped' ourselves with them while saying "I wash myself with Jesus' blood" or something to that extent. At least this time we didn't get as wet as before. And we got the box back.

Then after that we went to Thessalonica. Basically we had to find jigsaw puzzles from among this box of junk and find the answers from among the puzzles. Apprarently we were the fastest team for that station. Last of all, we went to Colossae. Four of us would get blindfolded and the other 4 would be guides. We had to navigate the blind-folded poeple through an obstacle course and at the end, we would have to write down the answers to the questions that we had to memorise. I was one of the guides and had to guide zaneta. The blind-folded people had to crawl under chairs arranged in a weird manner then crawl under more benches and cross a bridge then walk downhill. It was really tough trying to guide zaneta especially since the field was also wet from the rain. But in the end we managed to complete the whole quiz.

Overall we came in 3rd. At least we maintained our position from last year. We received this prize of Christian CDs and books. But the teachers forgot to remove the price tag for one of the books. The book cost $16.90 and that was when we realised that our prize was quite expensive. We had 5 books and 4 CDs altogether. And that was only 3rd prize.

All in all I really had fun today even though now I'm like quite exhausted. But I bet the good feeling won't last. Have to get down to work again like tomorrow. Sigh.. life is getting really mundane isn't it? And I doubt the holiday on Monday will help much. Wish I really have days like today more often.

Looking Back...
Came back rather early today after leaving the talk on US and UK universities application halfway (it was really boring... left halfway when they were talking about applying to UK universities cos after all I have no intention of going there). And of course I went online again. Haha..that's always the case nowadays. Watch tv or go online after I come home. I know I'm wasting time but I can't help it. Really need to discipline myself.

Anyway I was just looking at some past emails that I've kept in my inbox for so long. I realised I haven't replied to this email by a friend back home, which he sent like on Valentine's Day. So I wrote a reply, but I couldn't send it. It kept bouncing back. Feel really guilty.. should've replied earlier. Now, maybe I've lost contact with him already cos even though he's on my msn list I've never seen him online before. Sigh... I'm really a bad friend. Then there were also emails from one of my best friends, sent last year while I was kind of stressed and going through a difficult patch and in a state of indecision. I just want to thank her for her encouraging words and advice. (Hope you know who you are: Reading your emails again made me realise how lucky I am to have been blessed with a friend like you). Then I decided to read some of my past entries last year. I realise then I was quite suicidal. Gosh... can't believe that I even thought of committing suicide. I must have been really stressed. Fortunately this year isn't so bad. I've been stressed more often than not but I've handled it better. Thank god for that.

I just remember that last Sunday was MG's Founder's Day. I overheard some MG girls talking about Founder's Day Dinner on the bus-ride home a week ago. They were discussing what they were going to wear. Brought back memories of 2 years ago when we were all frantically shopping for our gowns and stuff. We had waited for the occasion for so long but the night flew by very quickly. And I also realise that it's been a year since I officially graduated from the school. Last year, we were all busy borrowing blazers to wear back to MG. Time really flew by quickly and what saddens me is the fact that I've not seen some of my MG friends ever since. Talk about losing contact again. Oh well. I guess it's enough reminiscing about the past and it's time to get back to reality i.e. I must finish my Stats 6 tutorial so that I can watch Amazing Race tonight. Argh...more work!

GIFTS AND CURSES (Yellowcard)
from Spider-Man 2 Soundtrack

Mary belongs to the words of a song
I try to be strong for her
Try not to be wrong for her
But she will not wait for me, anymore, anymore
Why did I say all those things before
I was sure

She is the one
But I have a purpose
She is the one
And I have to fight this
She is the one
A villain I can't knock down

I see your face with every punch I take
And every bone I break it's all for you
And my worst pains are words I cannot say
Still I will always fight on for you

Mary's alive in the bright New York sky
The city lights shine for her
Above them I cry for her
Everything's small on the ground below, down below
What if I fall then where would I go
Would she know

She is the one
All that I wanted
She is the one
And I will be haunted
She is the one
This gift is my curse for now

I see your face with every punch I take
And every bone I break it's all for you
And my worst pains are words I cannot say
Still I will always fight on for you

I see your face with every punch I take
And every bone I break it's all for you
And my worst pains are words I cannot say
Still I will always fight on for you
Fight on for you
Fight on for you

23/7
Went out with Huiling, Jessie, Jane and Gab yesterday to celebrate Huiling's birthday. We had dinner at Crystal Jade Kitchen. The food there was all right, but I think we must have pissed off the people waiting outside for 5-person tables cos we had to wait quite long for Jessie and Gab to come. After that, we walked around a little bit before going to Cine to take neoprints. We had a rather hilarious time there taking neoprints. Think we all got really frantic while trying to design the neoprints. In the end we ran out of time..that always seems to be the case I think. Huiling just had to remind us again that her birthday numbers are Beckham's jersey numbers at Real Madrid and Man Utd. I still remember a few yeras back we gave her Beckham's autobiography book. I was contemplating whether to give her Beckham's latest autobiography book and Jane was thinking of giving her Beckham's picture book. But then pea says she doesn't want all those stuff cos she's a bit sick of Beckham. Don't why she still likes Beckham so much. Anyway, Jane agrees with me that Cristiano Ronaldo is cute! Haha. And I discovered that Huiling and Jessie also watch an insane amount of tv like i do.. in fact i think they also watch the same exact shows as me. Haha.

I think my time management is really lousy. I'm like sleeping much later now trying to finish all the stuff I have to do, even though now I end school earlier. I think last time when I still had training, I was really forced to not waste my time so much. Now when I reach home earlier, I would watch tv or go online. Not exactly very productive huh.

Silver Lining
Finally the weekend is here. Was kind of looking forward to it after another week of school. It's not been a smooth week again although it got better towards the end. Hopefully next week will be better. Think I sometimes put too much expectations on myself and when I fall short of them, I'd feel disappointed and regretful instead of being happy with what I've got.

Anyway, Huiling just sent me this song by Yellowcard, Gifts and Curses, from the Spiderman soundtrack. I think it's really nice! The lyrics too..it's like so appropriate for Spiderman, duh.. I like Yellowcard! Like their type of songs..like Ocean Avenue and Only One. The Spiderman soundtrack also rocks! Feel like buying it, but I think I may have quite a number of the songs already. I realise I now quite like the songs they're playing on the radio. Not bad..

Came back from school rather early today. Had to endure a rather boring CT session. Actually the talk by that guy, forgot his name, was quite interesting but then the Racial Harmony concert was a disaster. Anyway, PE today was very tiring. Soccer is really very exhausting. I didn't think it'd be that tiring to play soccer when I watch soccer players run effortlessly for like 90 minutes. I totally suck at playing soccer - accuracy is very bad. Think I should really improve my stamina also. It's been quite bad ever since I didn't have to go for trainings anymore.

Anyway, we finally had tennis jts on monday night at cafe cartel. The food was ok..typical western restaurant food, but the dessert was amazing. Keep on thinking of that ice-cream... oh gosh.. (i didn't know that 'desserts' is the reverse of 'stressed'..). Anyway, after that we all headed down to this park nearby and we celebrated shuping's, amanda's and amy's birthdays. Afterwards, it was time to reveal the new exco. The captain and vice capt were kind of expected, but 1 person became both secretary and treasurer. Gosh.. I know this is like a cliche, but time really flies. I mean I don't think it was that long ago when we were all at pam's house and our seniors revealed the new exco. Our juniors gave us this beautiful key chain with beads that spell out 'hc tennis'. With that, I realised then that that would probably be one of the last, if not last, times that we're going to spend together as an entire team.

Before jts, Shuping and I went to watch Mean Girls. Even though I like what I saw from the trailer, I actually didn't plan to watch the movie. But the movie really lived up to my expectations. It was very hilarious and lame; at least it made me feel better after feeling really down from getting a big fat zero for my design paper. Oh well. But watching a movie from the first row is definitely not a good thing. My neck was aching quite badly afterwards. Didn't expect the cinema to be full house on a monday evening.

Argh.. getting quite a bad headache already. Shall go off the computer really soon.

A Sucky Week
That probably sums up my feelings for the whole week. It's really been a rough week. I lost my right contact lens yesterday while scratching my right eye. The same contact lens had also dropped out of the eye while I was putting eye drop on Thursday, but luckily I managed to find it later on. But yesterday, the lens just went right down the sink. Obviously I couldn't find it and probably have to make another one. Sigh..feeling so guilty right now cos that thing is quite expensive. But at least I lost the right lens cos it's of a lower degree, so hopefully it's not so expensive.

Then of course there were the Block Test results. I'm just disappointed. Could have done much better. But what makes it even more disappointing is that I really studied.. ok well some things I studied thoroughly some I didn't. But those questions that pull my mark down are those on topics that I really studied properly. Oh well...

But there were also some nice times during the week. Like bbq yesterday at Charlene's house to celebrate her birthday. At first we all feared it was going to rain, but the weather obliged eventually and the weather turned out to be great in the end. The setting was also perfect...it was like a secluded corner and this time there was actually plently of space. The food was also amazing. I especially like the mushrooms coated with cheese. Yummy! I think that was one of the best bbq I've ever had.

Sometimes I wish my mum can understand things from my perspective more often. I find myself arguing with her more often recently. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm just too stubborn. But I don't know. I don't think she really understands my views sometimes.

LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE (Jet)

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to prove

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Give me back my point of view
'Cause I just can't think for you
I can hardly hear you say
What should I do, well you choose

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to do

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

Unbelievable
I still can't believe that Greece had won Euro 2004, beating Portugal in the final 1-0. I wanted Portugal to win badly cos I don't like Greece's style of playing, but I guess Portugal didn't play as well as they did in the semifinal and lost to a better team. Still, I feel quite sad for Portugal. After all, they are the host nation and they lost the final in their own ground. The 'golden generation' are also about to retire after the tournament and they have no trophy. It's quite understandable then that some Portuguese players were crying after the game. Guess my brothers are right after all. Both had backed Greece to win and they won their bets. Furthermore, my youngest brother had predicted before the whole tournament that Holland would win and Portugal would come in second. Obviously, he couldn't get both predictions right cos Holland played Portugal in the semifinal but he got his Portugal one right. Oh well...

Anyway I also watched the Wimbledon men's singles final last night between Federer and Roddick. Apparently it's been a long while that the top 2 seeds face each other in a Grand Slam final. And they did not disappoint. It was a truly wonderful match. Of course, I would have preferred Roddick to win but I had expected Federer to win. The match was of course not as dramatic as the French Open final but it was much much better in terms of quality. Many amazing shots and winners. And let's not forget about the serves. Both served really well. Federer could match Roddick in terms of aces. But Roddick's serve is really fast. Someone even commented that Roddick's second serve is still faster than Federer's first serve. You can see the muscles in Roddick's arm.. it's like bulging so big. But I think Roddick looks rather unkempt with his beard.

Went to Bernice's birthday party at her house yesterday. There were many people there... her family members and also her classmates. But I had a great time there. Was talking quite a bit to San Mei. Got to know her better. The food was wonderful. I like the cake especially. Thanks Bernice for the present!

Now that Euro 2004 is over, there's like not going to be any soccer action until the new EPL season starts. I know Channel 5 is showing Copa America live. But I didn't even know such a tournament exist and I don't think I'll be watching the matches, especially since they're showing the matches during school hours.

FORCA (Nelly Furtado)

It is the passion flowing right on through your veins
And it's the feeling that you're oh so glad you came
It is the moment you remember you're alive
It is the air you breathe, the element, the fire
It is that flower that you took the time to smell
It is the power that you know you got as well
It is the fear inside that you can overcome
This is the orchestra, the rhythm and the drum

Com uma forca, com uma forca
Com uma forca que ninguem pode parar
Com uma forca, com uma forca
Com uma fome que ninguem pode matar

It is the soundtrack of your ever-flowing life
It is the wind beneath your feet that makes you fly
It is the beautiful game that you choose to play
When you step out into the world to start your day
You show your face and take it in and scream and pray
You're gonna win it for yourself and us today
It is the gold, the green, the yellow and the grey
The red and sweat and tears, the love you go. Hey!

Com uma forca, com uma forca
Com uma forca que ninguem pode parar
Com uma forca, com uma forca
Com uma fome que ninguem pode matar

Closer to the sky, closer, way up high, closer to the sky

Com uma forca, com uma forca
Com uma forca que ninguem pode parar
Com uma forca, com uma forca
Com uma fome que ninguem pode matar

Slacking
Slept at 4 this morning and woke up at 12. Oh well..think I'm going to sleep at weird hours again especially since we have holidays until tuesday and there's also the euro 2004 final which I'm definitely going to watch. Haven't figured out what to do yet until tuesday. Going for youth rally at church later, but the weather doesn't look really promising. Anyway I just found out today that channel i is going to show the wimbledon finals! So happy k.. means i can watch it after all. Tonight it's going to be sharapova vs serena. Should be quite an interesting match, hopefully.

With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility
Yup.. watched Spider-Man 2 with Ai Lian today. I think the movie rocks! It's definitely better than the first one. But I think Doc Ock is quite creepy and disgusting. Oh and I saw the trailer for 13 Going On 30. I think the movie is quite funny. Jennifer Garner was really hilarious. But the movie is opening only in like 3 weeks' time... 22 July.

Physics prac today was ok I guess. I expected something to do with pendulum or oscillations to come out, but I was quite surprised to see the prac was on electricity. Was kind of happy cos I hate having to deal with the retort stand. But the practical itself was quite a roller-coaster ride. When I had to take the first reading with 1 capacitor, the voltmeter started going haywire. I thought it was supposed to register a fixed reading, but instead the voltage kept going higher and higher until only the number 1 appeared on the screen.. I think the voltage must have been too high. So I raised up my hand but mario didn't see me. I tried to calm myself down, checked that the circuit was properly connected and stuff. Then I tried to take another reading. It was going fine until the number 1 appeared on screen again, and it wouldn't disappear. And the battery was also getting really hot. So I thought the voltmeter was spoilt. I raised up my hand and this time mario saw me. He gave me another voltmeter, but when I tried it again, it also wouldn't work..same problem as the first one. So mario had to ask quek, who was in the lab at that time helping another student, to help me. I think quek also couldn't figure out what was wrong. He was like meddling with the circuit for some time before he called mr chao. After that mr chao left and quek did something to the circuit for a while more before the circuit worked. I still don't know what went wrong. I was given 10 minutes extra anyway. But both quek and mario were really nice... they were like reassuring me and telling me not to worry and stuff and just to take my time and not rush through the practical. I was obviously getting freaked out at that point cos I saw other people already finished drawing the graph and I still hadn't even obtained a reading yet. But in the end I managed to finish on time.

So the final of Euro 2004 is back to where it started from. A repeat of the opening match between Portugal and Greece. I really hope Portugal will win. I realy really don't want greece to win. I can't imagine a small team or a so-called outsider win a major tournament. It's so..inappropriate. But all the teams that I've wanted to win so far have lost. Quite irritating. I just wish it could have been Portugal and Czech in the final. Then I would have been a neutral. Oh and Wimbledon final is also over the weekend. I'm considering going to my aunt's house to watch the final but don't know if my aunt and cousins are here now.

I think The Apprentice rocks! It's only been 2 episodes and so far the girls have been winning. But if I'm not wrong, I remember reading in the papers once that the winner was a guy. Anyway I think the show is quite realistic. It's full of business stuff, which I find quite fascinating. Like really, you get to see how people actually do business and stuff. And then of course there have to be fights.. among the girls. Gosh there's like this woman who has a catfight with almost all the girls. I actually don't really like Donald Trump. He just gives me a poor first impression. But gosh.. he's so rich. He has a private jet, countless of properties and his apartment is like whoa.

Thanks to zsing and shan for the flashing tiara. It's really cute! But I think it's too small for my head. Haha.

At Last
Finally Block Test is over... well almost. Still have Physics prac tomorrow. I think it's quite stupid to just go to school for 1 hour of Prac. At least BT was ok I think. Have holidays till Tuesday. Think I'll watch lots and lots of TV. Euro 2004 final on Sunday and also Wimbledon. And I still have my tapes to watch. And I also want to watch Spiderman. Oh well. So many things to do. Haven't blogged for the past week cos I was trying to be disciplined enough not to use the com. But obviously I still went to check soccer news and stuff.

I watched the Euro 2004 quarter-final match between England and Portugal with my 2 brothers. That was only the second live match I watched for the tournament and first England match (thanks to Channel 5.. don't know why they're showing all the Copa America matches live.. think Euro is more exciting). Anyway it was a very exciting match but obviously the ending was not what I hoped for (England lost 6-5 on penalties as match ended 2-2 after they'd led for like 80 minutes and had a goal that I still think is wrongly disallowed). I was like very scared watching the match and I was very nervous. But watching with my brothers was nice. It's definitely better than watching alone. They're super silly. My youngest brother was also an England fan, but I don't know why he made a bet with his friends for Portugal to win, so he still won his bet in the end. And my other brother hates England to the core so he was rooting for Portugal to win. He even brought his bolster out as a good luck charm for Portugal. Two of us were like whatever but then soon after Portugal equalised. Oh well.. but anyway my brother's joy was short-lived cos his French team lost the next day in an even more stunning upset. Haha.

On Friday, had dinner with Ivana who'd just come back from Australia with a few others, most of whom I've lost contact with. Haven't seen Ivana for like 1 year but I think she still looks the same. The others look quite different, but Anna and I agree that Evelyn looks the most different. She came in spaghetti strap and long skirt. That's like a 180 degrees turn from what she was like in MG. We ate Newton Circus. And I realised then that I haven't eaten there before.

On Saturday, had dinner with church people at Waffletown, which is at Balmoral Plaza, quite near my house. After that, I was actually supposed to go for worship practice after that cos our class and the Sec 4s were supposed to lead worship the next day. But I decided to back out in the end cos as usual, I haven't finished studying yet and still had lots and lots to cover.

Anyway, they're not showing OC again today. Quite irritating cos they always don't show O.C. Alias also. But at least they're showing a soccer match, something that I can watch. Replay of Holland and Portugal's match this morning. Oh well too bad Holland lost cos I would have preferred them to win. I hope it'll be a Portugal vs Czech final and I'll be a neutral during the final. Maybe it'll be better for me if I don't support any side cos if I support one team, I'll get really really nervous watching the match.

ONLY ONE (Yellowcard)

Broken this fragile thing now
And I can't, I can't pick up the pieces
And I've thrown my words all around
But I can't, I can't give you a reason

I feel so broken up
And I give up
I just want to tell you so you know

Here I go, scream my lungs out and try to get to you
You are my only one
I let go, there's just no one that gets me like you do
You are my only, my only one

Made my mistakes, let you down
And I can't, I can't hold on for too long
Ran my whole life in the ground
And I can't, I can't get up when you're gone

And something's breaking up
I feel like giving up
I won't walk out until you know

Here I go, scream my lungs out and try to get to you
You are my only one
I let go, there's just no one who gets me like you do
You are my only my only one

Here I go so dishonestly
Leave a note for you my only one
And I know you can see right through me
So let me go and you will find someone

Here I go, scream my lungs out and try to get to you
You are my only one
I let go, there's just no one, no one like you
You are my only, my only one
My only one
My only one
My only one
You are my only, my only one
