The past few days have been a blur. I've been getting more sleep thankfully (maybe that's cos my mum is here..), but I've missed my quiet time for the past few days. Very bad.. all cos I always fell asleep whenever I tried to do it.

Anyway, Liverpool beat Milan on penalties to win the Champions League after they were down 0-3 at halftime! Unbelievable! I was actually hoping Liverpool would win. Wanted to see an English team win the whole thing. But if I were a Milan fan, I'd be super heartbroken. It'll probably be even worse than MU losing the Cup on Saturday. I still can't believe that I didn't watch the match. I actually woke up at like 2.30 and decided I'd sleep a few more minutes, and the next thing I knew I woke up at like 6, and the match was just over. Such impeccable timing. I had taped the match, but only for the 90min cos I had thought that if the match really did went into the extra time, I'd be awake to actually continue taping. My brother also didn't manage to wake up. Haha. He woke up at 6.30 and he was fuming cos he thought I didn't wake him up.

Carrie is the American Idol! This one is not really surprising; she's got the "image" while Bo doesn't. Actually, I like both of them, but I've been supporting Carrie (and Anthony) from the beginning. My mum and my brother wanted Carrie to win, while my dad wanted Bo to win. My bro should've been really happy on Thursday. After all, he had put bets on Liverpool and Carrie to win.

Anyway, yesterday and today have been quite stressful. Need to apply for visa now, and it's quite a complicated thing. And I didn't know booking flights could be so stressful. Managed to find a good flight there, but can't find a connecting flight for the return trip. And the other good flight..waiting list. Unbelievable, I mean, it's still 3 months away, and a few dates are already on waiting list. Maybe 3 months is still not that long, but even the December dates are already on the waiting list!

I think my VCR is spoilt. Bleah.. I still have quite a few stuff on tape I haven't watched. The good news is.. my mum has promised to subscribe to cable for the June holidays. Meaning, I'll be able to watch French Open and Wimbledon! :)

Watched Star Wars today with Huiling. Exciting movie and all the fighting scenes are really cool! Didn't know that Anakin/Darth Vader was gonna get burned. I mean it was quite gross. But still loved the movie :)

Anyway, I just realize all the reality shows I'm watching are going to end by this week. Amazing Race and Survivor have already ended; the season finales for American Idol and Apprentice are on this week. I hope Carrie wins American Idol! Thinking back on Survivor finale, I was so hoping Ian would win. Obviously he didn't, but him giving up a chance to win immunity (and the million bucks) so that he could maintain his integrity and friendship with the other 2 people, made me realize something. I definitely agreed with what he did.

Seems like quite a few people are going to UK for holidays. I'm jealous! I wanna go Europe too! Anyway, I feel like buying 3 CDs. But I can only buy 1, at most 2. Can't decide which one(s) I should buy! Argh!

I'm heartbroken. Nothing to say. I had a feeling this was going to happen. Arsenal was lucky to have won on penalties. Heck..they were even lucky to have been level after 90min. MU totally dominated the game, but as have been the case this season, they couldn't finish off their chances. I had a bad feeling it wasn't going to be MU's day. Luck just wasn't on their side. Disallowed goal, Rooney hitting the post, Nistelrooy's header being cleared onto the bar, no one meeting Ronaldo's cross when anyone, anyone, could've just poked the ball home.. and this happened twice. And I think the referee was quite biased too.

Sigh.. I'm just being really emotional now. Not surprising really. I'm still upset. And I know someone far far away in Perth is gloating. Bleah.

Gonna sleep now. The image of Arsenal players celebrating and their captain lifting the cup is still fresh on my mind. Whatever... Arsenal so did not deserve it. Sigh.. I think I'm getting mad, but this kind of reaction is to be expected. Sigh.

Watched the Amazing Race finale just now and it was really exciting! I wanted Rob Amber to win. I like Uchenna Joyce too, but I thought Rob Amber raced better overall (even though they played dirty). Obviously, Rob Amber didn't win. Still, I'd be happy with the outcome as long as Ron Kelly didn't win. Anyway, why didn't Uchenna Joyce just ran in and won the million dollars first, then paid the cab driver after that? I thought it was quite funny too, when Patrick started muttering, "Uchenna Joyce Uchenna Joyce", under his breath, almost like begging for them to win. Heh. And wasn't it ironic that at the beginning of the episode, Rob asked the other 2 teams, "So which one of you is going to finish second?" Haha.

My cousin William came over for the weekend and I finally got to meet his children, Keisha and Joshua. They are soooo cute and adorable! Haha. When Joshua saw me, he was like "Hello" and then after that he said "bye". So cute! Both spoke in a mixture of Indonesian and English, and I just find it really funny haha. Being called an aunt made me feel old. And I realized that a few of my cousins have become uncles and aunts at such a young age. My youngest cousin is only about 1.5, but Joshua is the same age as him and Keisha is already 3! Didn't know it was possible for an uncle to be younger than his nephew and niece haha. Anyway, my bro and I went to have dinner with them and my other cousins at a Japanese restaurant. I'm not into Jap food, so I wasn't familiar with all the food yesterday. I ordered rice with salmon and green tea. You're supposed to pour green tea into the rice bowl. Didn't really like it though. And I accidentally ate the wasabi. The taste is..undescribable! Extremely extremely spicy, worse than chilli! But the other dishes were quite nice. My fave was the toufu-and-cheese sauce. You're supposed to spread sauce on a small toast like you spread butter, and add maple syrup. I'm just a sucker for cheese haha.

I found out too that my cousin-in-law's cousin is already studying at CMU. At least I'll know an Indo there; it's very rare to find Indo there. And Kevin, my bro's sunday school teacher, also graduated from there. Speaking of CMU, I'm waiting impatiently for their Welcome Packet. I need to tell them which dorm I want to stay in by May 31. I already have something in mind, but the room at that dorm is quite small. I told my mum that I'd want to have a roommate for at least the first year. You're not going to get that experience again after college!

I'm really fed up with MU. They could only drew 1-1 with bottom-of-the-table West Brom! Unbelievable. They conceded the penalty, but by then they should have already won the match. The stats speaks for itself: MU has 27 shots, while West Brom only has 2. The match is so ridiculously one-sided! Probably sums up MU's season. Inability to finish off the chances they create and dropping points against lower-placed teams. I'm rooting for Liverpool to win against Arsenal tonight. So that Arsenal drops points and also cos I want to Liverpool to finish 4th and qualify for CL. And crap..Michael Schumacher retired from 3rd place. He was in quite a comfortable position! Bleah..at least Raikkonen won.

Anyway, I like The Killers' CD. So unexpected... me liking a band with such a name haha. But their music is really quite nice. Thanks Huiling for lending the CD to me! And I think I'm starting to like all those alternative, non-conventional, indie songs. Thanks to Huiling and the OC haha.
