Yesterday was a really truly bizarre day. I smashed my racket when I was playing tennis; obviously it broke, not to pieces, but there's a crack there. Was getting so worked up over a point. Thought I'd be able to control my anger, but I guess I got into my volatile self again. Felt really good after smashing my racket, but then the guilt sank in not too long after.
We were supposed to go back to Singapore yesterday, but we missed our flight. I mean, seriously, missed our flight. The plane hadn't left yet, but the counter was already closed, so we couldn't check in. That was the first time ever I'd missed a flight, and the feeling wasn't good. Blame it on traffic jam around my house. We took 1 hour to get to a place where we'd have normally taken only 5 minutes. But then again, we started late from the house. We started like 1 1/2 hours before the flight, and nearing Christmas time, we should've known that there would be a really bad jam. Was quite tired after going to the airport and back again yesterday. Thank goodness we managed to get tickets for today's flight. So I'll be going back to Singapore later, and this time, we're going to set off 3 hours before the flight. Hehe.
Today's Christmas eve; obviously tomorrow is Christmas. Christmas really comes fast this year. I love Christmas; I love hearing all those Christmas carols. But it's really weird not to go to church during Christmas. Normally, if we're still in Jakarta, we'd go to the evening service on Christmas eve. Towards the end of the service, they'd switch off the lights and we would light our candles that had been given to us when we entered the church. I like that part the best. In Singapore, I think there's no service on Christmas eve, so we've to go to the one on Christmas itself. But since we've got to go early tomorrow, I don't think we can go to church at all. Oh well..
Anyway, I think I better finish packing my stuff now. Merry Christmas everyone!
