I went to church just now and had dinner with my family after that. Not surprisingly, the reverend talked about the tsunami disaster in his sermon. He told us an account by a survivor, who lost her parents because of the disaster. The family was taking a picture and the parents went away for a little walk and could not be found after that. Life is so unpredictable, but I guess what the reverend said was true. Without the mysteries of life, we would become arrogant and proud. With such mysteries, we're reminded that God is in control of our lives. We can plan on what we want to do with our lives, but ultimately, our lives are in God's hands and sometimes, things just don't work out according to our plan. May God grant strength to the survivors. The death toll is rising rapidly and Indonesia is the worst-hit country. So far, the death toll here is 80000 and still counting.
Oh well...last post of 2004. I don't know.. I'm feeling rather indifferent that tomorrow will be the first day of a new year. Anyway, wishing everyone a wonderful and fruitful year ahead!
